Lopes Wordmark in a purple custom font named Thunder. Grand Canyon University launched a campus-wide rebrand of its logo system ahead of the 2023-24 academic year. The new Speed GCU logo was unveiled in February and an entire logo system was built out and refined for a June 30th launch. The logo system was developed with an aim to give the university a modern and cohesive brand that is unique to GCU. GCU`s Running Lope logo, unveiled nearly a decade ago in lockstep with the university’s transition to Division I athletics, continues to be a foundational element of GCU`s brand. The Running Lope now has a cohesive GCU logo with familiar speed lines and agile movement that matches the university`s innovative, modern and fast-moving identity. A custom Thunder font was also developed that ties the brand together with Lopes and Grand Canyon wordmarks.
